here im going to share my some interesting story, from my life as a web developer.
i have completed my graduation from bangalore, india. there i got to learn web programing. it fascinated me. i fell in love with web-media. i took decision that, i will pick up web development as my carrier.
i watched the web very closely. tried to get in to it. and i got it right.
coming back to dhaka, my first web project was harbalbd.com.
dont try to get this url. as the site no more exist now. it was on the air for 2 years. now its no more.
this was an website of a herbal medicine retailer. this site was fully in bangla.
at that time we didn't know any technology to implement unicode bangla font.
so we had to scratch our head a lot. how to make a site in bangla language?
well we used non unicode fonts, and we had to add the eot file with the site, to show up the bangla content. that was the best solution available that time.
since then its been nearing three years of web development experience, for us. but the pleasure of the first work, for a client is always a charming memory to recall.
sumon haldar (whose online identity is coolsaint, you can google by coolsaint and can learn more on him) was the main developer, took lot of pain to build up site in bangla. still he leads our team.
now a days writing bangla is as easy as writing english on web, with the help of unicode based bangla fonts.
i would never forget the experience of first professional job. its thrilling.
